Purpose-driven leadership. Organizational clarity. Community impact.
I am an executive leader, strategist, communications professional, entrepreneur, and community builder with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations navigate growth, transformation, complexity, and change.
My career has crossed nonprofit leadership, social impact, communications, fund development, entrepreneurship, technology, arts and culture, and community development. Today, as Co-Executive Director of Calgary Seniors’ Resource Society, I share responsibility for organizational strategy, operations, financial stewardship, people and culture, Board accountability, stakeholder engagement, government relations, fund development, communications, and the long-term sustainability of the organization.
I am at my best where strategy, people, systems, and purpose intersect. I build clarity around where an organization is going, strengthen the structures that help people get there, and create environments where teams can take meaningful ownership of the work.
Underlying all of it is a simple philosophy: leadership is an act of service. Strong organizations are built when people understand the purpose of their work, have the systems and trust required to do it well, and remain meaningfully connected to the communities they serve.

Leadership Strengths
Seeing the whole system
I naturally look beyond individual problems to understand the relationships between people, structure, culture, communication, resources, and purpose. This allows me to identify root issues and build solutions that strengthen the organization rather than simply resolving the immediate problem.
Translating vision into structure
Strategy only matters when people can act on it. I am particularly strong at turning broad organizational goals into practical priorities, systems, roles, processes, budgets, communications, and measurable work.
Leading through change
Much of my career has involved organizations experiencing transition, growth, financial pressure, cultural change, or repositioning. I bring calm, curiosity, transparency, and a willingness to address difficult realities while keeping people connected to a larger purpose.
Building relationships across difference
I have spent my career working across executive teams, Boards, government, donors, employees, community organizations, service providers, Indigenous communities, media, volunteers, consultants, and people with lived experience. I am comfortable navigating complexity while maintaining trust and forward movement.
Connecting creativity with execution
My background in visual communications, entrepreneurship, technology, and the arts influences how I lead. I am comfortable moving between big-picture thinking and practical execution, and I tend to see possibilities and connections that are not immediately obvious.

Beyond the Executive Role
My work has never existed entirely inside an organizational chart.
I am a longtime visual artist and former Board member of the Alberta Society of Artists. I have spent more than two decades building relationships and participating in learning with Indigenous communities. I mentor entrepreneurs through The Engine Room in Cochrane and founded MAN UP, a growing men’s community focused on connection, personal responsibility, purpose, and well-being.
I am also a speaker, facilitator, coach, writer, and creator of Functional Conscious Living, an evolving body of work exploring conscious leadership, self-awareness, communication, relationships, and how we participate more intentionally in our communities and organizations.
These experiences are not separate from my executive leadership. They have shaped it.
They have taught me to listen carefully, remain curious, communicate across different worlds, challenge assumptions, build community, and remember that organizations ultimately exist to serve human beings.
That is the kind of leadership I continue to practice.
